EBAY WW2 German 50gr Pipe tobacco, apparently from Normandy, but I firmly believe to be bought from Italy in 2017


I saw this box of pipe baccy pouches on Ebay and thought OK, I wonder if google has anything on this little lot........

I found an Italian website where the box was sold in 2017 for 470 euro

So, check out EBAY auction 283260823720 (but first look at the comparison between one part of the box in both auctions)

The almost identical detail in the photo in both auctions, where it shows a part of the box where there is a wehrmacht ink stamp on the left (A label at the top right has been roughed up and a few other areas have changed slightly in the ebay auction photo)

The massive similarity, other than lots of marks on the box, is the water stain on the top right hand side. Same water stain, same box, same tobacco, I rest my case.

The ebay auction tobacco IS from the Italian auction in 2017, so they only came to Normandy then !!! Quite some time after 1945 and thats the rub !!!
