This second M30 gas mask is even more interesting than the previous one in that the only thing that prevents me from calling it “factory-new” is that these gasmasks left the factories in flimsy cardboard boxes…this one can be called “Kammer-frisch”,in that it’s only been taken out of its cardboard box,had its 1937-dated first model FE37 filter changed 2 days before the invasion of Poland and forgotten somewhere ever since! The label with the name of the person who checked it before putting it into the box is still attached to the container. The black “2” stencilled on the lid is the size of the mask.
All the parts are dated 1938 excepting the filter.
Again the carrying strap is still as the worker who has put the set into the shipping box has wound it around the container.
Hope you enjoy.
