Incidently, having learned about the green and yellow lines on the top of the phones casing (being army and navy markings), can anyone identify the hand painted dark grey/bluish stripe on my phone? Luftwaffe? Or a post war marking? Many thanks, Douglas

I will take a wild guess and say the dark stripe was painted on so you could read white grease pencil. This is the area where grease pencil was used to write notes and later erase. NH
