Ok thanks. Is there a diffrence between the early and late version?
Not really. Only that the leather straps on the bottom are the other way around than on later models.

Hello,
The A-frame went into trials as soon as late 1938 in the infantry school regiment. First ones produced were grey coloured with brown straps. You can't see A-frames on period photos showing the polish campaign, you start to see some during the french campaign, there are some famous photos. Massive issue of the A-frame to infantry regiments took place before Barbarossa.
Thanks
