Gas detection ampule case and contents.

This is a somewhat unusual piece of German belt worn kit. Its the case with the different ampules used for gas detection I believe. The pump that took the ampules was akin to a bycyle pump but made of bakelite and was also carried in a metal case worn on the belt. I have a couple of examples but for the moment they are packed away.

This item was used by the Gasspürtruppe to detect gas contaminated areas....

I also have the Heeres Druck Vorschrifte that belongs to this item....
