Article about: Hi could someone hep me identify a few Entrenching tools. the first entrenching tool is clearly marked Fimag 1939 and is really good condition. However the paint is flaking somewhat on on th

    No 2 may be the British 1939 Linnemann Pattern adopted for a short period, before the BEF realised they were no good for digging into hard ground and readopted the 1908 pattern as the 1937 pattern.....

    Need to see the blade of No 2 to confirm, if it's straight edged then I'm pretty sure it's British.

    Need a pic of the back as well as the front, the British 1939 is very similar to other Linnemann Tools with very subtle differences between then.
