How strange weapon laws are from time to time

Here in Holland (which normally is very strict on gun laws) we can have Flare guns in working condition without any problems..... but a deactivated MP40 or P08 without license..... no way !!!!

Here in Denmark we also have a VERY strict weapons law.

The new rules(since 2009) for deactivated rifles/guns, demands that the weapon is split into halves, except for the stock.

If I hadn't found a solution together with the police, this flaregun would eventually have ended up in the crusher.
...that would have been a shame - in my opinion.
