German Gas Mask and Canister

Article about: Hello. Could you give me your opinions on this gas mask and canister which I purchased recently? The mask is still in transit and hence I have only the pictures that the dealer has sent me.

    The shorter canisters are also used often by air defence units rather than in combat.

    Yes. It doesn't look like the long canisters you see in the pictures with the soldiers carrying them. That's why I chose the other one. Also the color was more combat like. Plus the WaffenAmt with eagle of the Third Reich is much cooler.

    Hello everyone. The gas mask has arrived. I am attaching pictures of it. The 2 straps on the back look cut. Is this how they are supposed to be? What are your thoughts? Thank you. Kind regards.

    There is also a date inside the mask. 1937
