    Hello Daan

Looks like a nice Gasmask to me... is it number matching ? (is the number on the can the same as the number on the mask?)

Does the can have straps ?? and is it dated ?

Btw, the brown plastic bottle is not for Hautentgitungssalbe but for Waffenentgiftungssalbe (which also could be used as Hautentgiftungssalbe)

    Hello Tom.

There is no number found on the mask but the mask is dated 1937. The can is numberd with M46 but has no date. The can and mask has al there straps.

I'm using this site so i know what i need and what everything is callled 2/Pz. Aufkl.Abt. Grossdeutschland - The evolution of the German Gasmask

    Hi Daan

Could you please post pictures of the stamp of the can ??

Also do you have pictures of the straps of the can ?? just to make sure they are ww2 issue and not Bundeswehr straps (often sold as original straps)

I think you are right about the big strap, it could be Bundeswehr strap because it dont really looks old to me but i could be wrong.

The "M46" stamp is all i can find on the can.

    Thanks for the pictures Daan

If you look inside the can, there is a lid for the Klarscheiben compartment, normally the maker mark is there, but sometimes is obscured by a label with the name, rank and FP number of the owner of the gas mask.

And indeed, the large strap is BW, but it is a nice gams mask after all !!!

nice "kgb" can (no, not the russian secret service), dated 43 if I'm not mistaken

if this is a three letter code (of which I am not sure) it is made by : Ernst Mahla, Blechwarenwerke, Prag
