    Please see the photos below of a German bread bag I received. It looks original to me but would like to double check. Also, the markings inside the bag have me intrigued, are they unit markings? Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

    Its certainly a good one, but I think its a WW1 pattern bread bag and not an M31. I suspect its dated 1916 or 18.

    I agree with Douglas. Note the single strap and D ring.
    Quite a desirable piece for the WW1 collectors.
