Very Nice, Congratulations on your new addition...I believe I see RAD-Markings on the inner-flap...This is my favorite Type, btw...When I was about 12 years old I found one just like it -dated 1936- hanging on a nail in a small wood-shack in Mannheim, Germany...That was a good day, lol...
The Slide Rule could have been used for anything from Building Construction to Artillery Ranging & Fire Adjustments...
    cheers, Glenn

Thanks a lot Glenn! I also found a lot of german fieldgear in my childhood, and remember we played wargames with it. Where do you see the RAD markings? I can not see it, but my wife always say I need glasses. He he.

I believe I can see the initials "RAD" here, below the "H Tietz"...

After a little reserch I find out it says "Bad Kudowa i schl", and this is a town in Lower Silesia Province. They produce a lot of leather equipment for the germans during ww2. It had been fun to own a Rad mapcase, but this is probably only a regular Heer.
