    It looks to be a cartridge pouch , by the look of the inside . IMHO

    A Pre-WWI cartridge pouch in great condition...designed for the Mauser Gew.71 and later the Gew.88...

    It is indeed a cartridge pouch, pre-WWI, for Grenadier-Regiment 123. Axis History Forum • Grenadier-Regiment König Karl (5. Württembergisches) Nr.123

    I think it might be for an M1871 Mauser.

    Hello,
    It is the venerable Patronentasche 1887 for the 8 mm cartridge.
    Apprently yours was the 1882th Patronentasche issued within the Grenadier Regiment 123, 11. Kompanie...
    What's stamped above the letters BA ? (which should mean Bekleidungs Amt)

    The dividers inside are typical of period cartridge pouches and boxed ammo. It is in remarkably good shape! NH
