    Nuno it looks to be post war to me I have never seen TR messtin with an internal cup/bowl before You could contact the seller and ask if there is a maker mark and or date above the hinge pont on the cup and were the handle conects to the mess tin. Will post some reference photos

    Hello,
    I cannot comment the messkit itself as photos are too small, but the inner plate is for sure postwar Bundeswehr. It's too tall and has the horizontal slit....
    Check my sticky thread about TR german military messkits and you'll see how an original late war inner plate looks like.

    Thanks JPhilip I was just there and you are right there is quite a difference in the height as well as the vertical slit.
