German porcelain plate

Hello

This is a german mess plate, that came my way, a few years ago. It' s from a soltatenheim in Norway. I have been told, that Bogenbukt was one of the places, that the Tirpitz was moored.

Very nice plate but are You sure it is not pre WWII Norwegian army plate?

Yes, this is a german plate, manufactured at the Porsgrunn factory. The Porsgrunn factory made a lot of porclain dinner ware, for the germans, during wwII. The inscription Soldatenheim, is in german. In norwegian it would be Soldathjem. The decoration of the plate, is just the same, as other Soldatenheim dinnerware, that I have seen. I have seen identical dinnerware, with the inscription Kiestinski (Finland).
