Default German scope ZF K 43 original?

    Hi all!

What do you think about this scope, original ww2 period, or Czech army post war?

Someone has told me that is post war, made in optikotechna Prerau right after the war, but other friend has told me the opposite, that it's 100% ww2 period, could be made in that factory but during war time. So what do you think, maybe the serial number could help?

    Thank you very much!

I don't think a post war scope would be German three letter code marked?

    Hi William

It looks like your scope is a good ww2 one, however, it has been re-used by the czech army (hence the strike through on the maker marks)

here you can find some more info on Claus Espeholts site : ZF4

    Cheers

    Tom
