German shotgun shell pouch?

Hello Guys!

I have this pouch, but it was impossible to find any similar. A shotgun shell fits into the holes, so you can see the sizes.
It looks like a WWI german ammo pouch, but this one is bigger and angular. No markings.

I believe it could be a German medical pouch, not sure of the date, but looks similar to WWII examples.

I'm sure someone here can be more specific.

I believe this held flare shells.
