Given the state of German economic collapse after WW2, when cigarettes almost became currency, it is surprising that any of this material survives today.

Nice to have. I have a pack of wartime Dutch cigarettes in my collection.

    Cheers, Ade.

Just a minor detail to add that it's labeled "Pfeifentabak", meaning Pipe Tobacco...notice the rough cut tobacco...My German great-grandmother rolled Cigarillos for the German Army, btw...!
    cheers, Glenn

I must have posted mine before? But I will add a pic here.

These cigarettes were "home grown". Due to wartime shortages, people were encouraged to grow tobacco at home. They then sold the harvest to the State and these were manufactured into machine made cigarettes and sold in these packets, "Amature Cigarettes". No German tax seals on these of course.

    Cheers, Ade.
