Hi all, had a couple of buckles arrive to add to the Heer collective, two makers that I did not have, first up a very nice Aluminium buckle by Gbr Gloerfeld, dated 1938 (they all seem to be) and in very good condition. I just love the adlers head on these, very moody expression

Second one is a rare maker by the name of Franz Reischauer of Oberstein, I have been after one of these for a while also

Incredibly sharp and beautiful strike on that first one Ben....

That one looks like a winner to me!

    Congrats on the new aquisition....

Thanks Ritchie, I am very pleased with that one, quite a rare maker and for an aluminium buckle it is in very, very good condition

Excellent high relief and incredible detail on the first buckle. The features seem to jump right out at you...Looking at the great condition of the leather and the fact that there is little or no wear to the buckle or the tab, I think we can safely say that the original owner probably had a safe, cushy job behind the lines! Outstanding pre-war piece of equipment...I appreciate the photos very much.
