    Default Help with Identification of Gas Mask

    Hello everyone,

    I obtained this gas mask canister a while ago and have been trying to research it. It is one of the short, prewar versions. The spare lens container is dated 1937 and there is a makers mark that I can't identify. I realize that its a long shot, given the number of manufacturers, but does anyone recognize the mark? Also, I'm not sure of the model of mask that the canister goes with, as it seems that their were several types over the course of the 1930s and the war period. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    it would have housed a GM30. I can't help on the maker, but I have one of these too! minus the mask.

    Hello,
    It is the second variant of the M36 canister, with the definitive closure spring
    As René mentioned it, it should carry the GM30.
