I.D these items ?

Hi all, I have these three small items that were reported to have been an old soldiers that he brought home to the UK from europe, the two cases are small like pill boxes perhaps a compass box ?, the small oil can badge looks hand made to me, I have doubts over any validity as there is no visible stamp I can see.

Anyone shed any light on these items.
