Article about: Found this a couple of years ago in a old house in Finnish Lapland , normally you see the German made plates but this one is a bit differet being made in Norway

    I assume most got destroyed because of any thoughts about being Quislings.

    Yes Anon makes sense but alot of the broken plates i find in Norway and Lapland are German made plates just wondered if this was made for a mess or Railway service in Norway ? or something like that

    Gotta be a rare survivor whatever the truth of it and perhaps made locally for the railways as you suggest, I could not say.

    "Porsgrun Porselen" made alot of different stuff. Everywhere the germans had soldiers in Norway you sometimes can find examples of these "PP" items.

    When i was collecting everything from ww2, i had alot of different PP plates, cups etc.
    Some had the stamps on top, some had stamps under.

    Today i dont know how easy it is to find examples
