Thats some very nice goverment canvas MG42 pouch. I personaly love all late war items, they are so simple and ugly and it makes them beautiful .

Im curious about the price it will reach.

IMHO these are post war pouches, sold as late war pouches....

The truth is that with such items you never know. Usually they have no stamps or other markings that can help identify them.

I was offered one several years ago but couldn't find anything on them so I passed it was also susposed to be late war? I have only seen leather ones with maker or wartime dates. timothy

I think these being a late war piece of kit is a leap of faith IMHO.

I have a pressed cardboard MG pouch dated 1945, so if they were bothering to make them why go for the more elaborate and resource hungry canvas with the leather fittings on the rear ?

Just a thought as I never seen any info to say they did or did not make them out of canvas so they may be the real deal.................

Iv mailed the seller and asked.

He said that some quote - "asshole" from UK habitually bids items but never pays for them - i guess thats why .
