Luftwaffe Map Case - Post war??

Got this very cheap, so not overly worried if bad, but please tell me what you think of this item. It looks like something was spilled over the case at some stage, missing it's carry strap and I cannot find any markings at all. The leather is not quite as dark as in the photos, it's overcast here and photos not coming out well. Thank you for your help.

I have one just like it and there are no discernible markings except for some faint numbers on the inside flap. Try looking there. A little beat but it is the real thing. Looks like the hardware for the strap is missing off the back but everything else looks to be intact. NH
