Just got the Zelt in the other day! Pictures don't do it justice, the colors are very vibrant and is in over all wonderful shape and still has original rope on all three grommets.

Only has one very small period patch.

All buttons are present and no other hole, rips or any other type of damage on it.

One more question, I understand the 39 means 1939 but what does the 8 stand for in the 8/39?

Yes, a very nice Zelt indeed with nice colors. Mine is dated 1943 Mahlhausen. the 2 different sides show significant differences in colors. Wonder if this was common when compared to the early and later war zelts? Not a zelt-master myself lol, so always learning

It is normal to have difference in the back and front of a Zelt :



Late war Zelts sometimes have 2 identical colors on front and back, but these are very hard to find
