    Although the photo is not very clear, here is the photo from the book I spoke of. I am sure that in the field they kept items wherever they would fit.

    It is not a Luftwaffe item, but rather a Heer one as indicated by the E38 for Erfurt 1938 visible on the interior...
    Early Luftwaffe leather items are chocolate Brown, not light Brown...
