Mg34/42 ammo box fake?

Purchased this ammo box a while ago. Just wonder were it comes from. Hope some of you can help. It's marked 2 in a square....

My first thought is that this looks rather 'Yugo', but I'm sure others here will be able to confirm either way.....

I used to have a couple of Post War Spanish made M34 Ammo Boxes like these, they were nearly identical to the wartime German produced ones except for the marking and date, I would try to see if you can find a date, I believe it was located on the outside bottom of the can.

Yes its a Yugo. Sometimes you can find german ww2 reissued ones, but most of the time you find these newly manufactured. The square that says "BK" inside - it means "VK" (on latinic); "Vojna kontrola" (military control proof).

Yes it's a Yugo produced one. If you were told it was German then I suggest you have a reasonable chance in getting a refund.
