MP 40 relic

Hi gents,

I just purchased this MP 40 relic. Its found in Monte Cassino Italy. Guess it belonged to a German paratroper maybe. It is good shape and actualy I belive I could fire it.
Its marked with "Fxo 42".

I wouldn't advise it though. Stress and age fractures in the barrel that you can't see would result in a catastrophic event, I am a Registered Firearms dealer, as well as a military dealer, and trust me when one of those go.....they go with a bang

however it does look a very nice display piece

Great relic! Just what I'm looking for as well --- an mg42 would be up next.

Wouldn't recommend shooting that mp40 though

I guess you see that the black colour on the reciver has gone. Will I destroy it if I try to retain the colour again?

You will never be able to re blue it. But if you spray it matt black it looks just as good I have several that I have found and it looks good on the wall 😅

Gents, Is it the same bolt for both MP 40 and MP 41?

Is the bolt for MP 40 the same Bolt used for MP 41??

Yes they will fit, my friend tried. Also the MP38 bolt fits all an vice versa.
