MP-44/Stg-44 mag pouches real?

start with I m far from a novice looking for comments or insight

lately I have been seeing late war canvas w/ red stripe ( mattress cover) for sale with the correct buckles and snaps they look old and some had slight damage all coming from the czech republic
I know there are some really good repro companies in the czech republic
so my questions are

1) are these out and out fakes thrown into the barn for a winter or two to age them

2) post war czech army surplus using wartime parts

3) the real thing

saw a couple being sold here in the US having RBN numbers stamped on the leather belt loops ( Claus indicates these are fake)
and on flea bay of all places

These are one of a newer generation of fakes clearly made to deceive and they will fool many people.

I will save the pics and add them to your post as links die in time.

At first glance they look fake with fake aging, which Ade has confirmed. If anything, this forum is great for a daily quickie gut feeling "is this real", at a glance. I find myself guessing correctly 9 times out of 10... Sometimes even guessing that good items are bad, but being overly suspicious isn't a bad thing at this point in time. Not to digress, but if the post says "is this SS ....... real?", nine times out of ten, it is fake, especially with rings and helmets. But it is still educational and yesterday possibly a real Das Reich armband!

The eBay market and internet in general is so peppered with fake junk that we almost need a general fantasy or fake item section, or a "best of" ludicrous fake item section just for comic relief.

These sure look more convincing, but I still would say no......

The fakes are getting better and better....

Still there are things on the pouches which are not correct imho.....

Here is a 44 pouch that I have had for at least 35 or 40 yrs. You'll notice that the cross strap between the 2 pouches has been cut off.
