MP38-40 pouches real?

Hi Mike, these are bad.

Compare to an original Luftwaffe pouch from my collection. This came direct from the Veteran who took them, then on to me.

I would like to share something with you about this type of pouch: In 1974 (I was 8yrs old) my mother was helping her boss clean up her elderly aunt's house and garden in Viernheim,Germany. I had to tag along, and was wandering around in the barn. I found 4 Luftwaffe rucksacks and an Mp40 pouch identical to the one pictured on the left (with the later style extended tab). I still have it. It is also Waffenamt stamped, has a few moth-nips on it, but still in decent shape. I see this is an older post, but I wouldn't be so quick to poopoo this type of pouch. If someone tried to tell me mine was a fake, I'd had to laugh. Any input is appreciated.

The pair of MP40 pouches that opened this thread is indeed a repro meant to deceive collectors. Stitchings, construction, leather, all is bad...Good for reenacting i guess
