well, some people like mint condition militaria, but not me, I like items with that "been there' look, and I think we can all agree this certainly has it! this is my first gas mask and canister. and the best part....I believe the canister is tropical! if you look at the picture of the bottom of the canister, you can see tan paint chipping, and the color variation of the straps. I know its not in the best condition, but it's a piece of history that made it through a war! I hope you guys like it as much as I do!

An iconic piece of German equipment...shame about the missing latch, but it will still display well!

    Nice find !

Although I prefer examples in better condition I can understand the attraction

Here are some pics of the mask itself. They are not the best pics, but it's all I have right now. The filter has all original stamps, which is cool.

Nice semi-relic, but those straps don't belong to that canister. Are they original?

Cannister is a nice well used example

I am sorry to say that straps are well known fakes.......

Well, it's still cool, and It's going to display very well. I'm getting new cabinets soon, so I can update my collection photos when I get the cabinets. Also the spare lenses fell out before he gave it to me so he said we can meet again to get them, and I'll try to get more stuff for the collection.
