    Default My german gasmask collection

Here is my German gas mask collection,

TOP RIGHT : Early gas mask and tin dated 1934, gas mask size 2, filter is unfortunately missing

TOP LEFT : Nice matching set with matching painted numbers on tin and mask 533, this is my favourite as it is almost mint condition and seems to be a complete matching set as issued. Tin is marked azb 1938 inside the lid, mask is dated 1937 size 2, filter FE37. has the cleaning cloth and retaining spring present also.

BOTTOM LEFT : Tin is marked frn 43, with 'd' marked on the base of the tin, inside the lid is a marking eph 43. The mask is dated 1940 and is size 1. Filter is FE41 maker bwz.

BOTTOM RIGHT : Tin marked frn 44, marked on the base with 'd'. inside lid marked 44. Mask is dated 44 bwz, size 3. Filter is marked FE41 and dated september 1943

Mask on far right has no tin and when i aquired it it had the shape retaining aluminium frame inside to keep the shape, i have always left this in, the aluminium frame is dated 1937, and the mask itself is dated 1939 and is a size 2. Filter is FE37 and has two dated stamped on, one being APRIL 41 and the other being APRIL 42.

i have also included a couple of photos of the different filters on these masks and the variations in the spare lense packets. My german gasmask collectionMy german gasmask collectionMy german gasmask collectionMy german gasmask collectionMy german gasmask collectionMy german gasmask collection

    Hello,
Yes that's a nice Gasmasken collection....congrats and thanks for sharing it...

Here are your next purchases :

    - Green rubber GM 38
    - Gasmask with FE42 filter (you do have FE37 and FE 41 filters)
    - Tan or two tone or three tone camouflaged canister....

The "shape retaining aluminium frame" is called a Maskenspanner...
    Good job..
    Thanks

    Hello,
    Attention !!!
    Camo canisters are addictive...
my advice would be to save some money in order to buy a killer one...as always better quality than quantity...
    Thanks
