I think canister is fine ( pre or wartime )
Just the straps are later ..Very common to see this.

My 65 yr old German friend remembers gas masks used for drills at his school during the cold war.
Maybe for civilians they used old canisters with updated mask cartidges and straps?

    Hello.
This is even better. I'll post it when it arrives. I saw that the mask is postwar so i think that it might be strange to have a war time filter..i'll check for markings. Do you agree about the straps being postwar?
    Thanks for you time

About the mask I don't know... It seems a mix between a gm30/gm38, with strange colors; probably a german post war specimen, as danmark stated. The canister is an early Weimar era one (used 'till 1935, more or less). The filter is an FE37, which is a pre war/early war time model.
Maybe you have a luftshutz war time reissued canister and filter, re-reissued post war with a new mask. The straps, for my limited knowledge, are a post war addiction.
