I am not an expert on mag pouches, but I've seen some WH equipment in my time and from the quality of the seams and the hardware they look original. I would like them :-)

To me looks a lot like a aged pakistani peice a mate of mine pickedup. The reason i say this is the the pebbling on the leather is too large and the straps look too thick and not as neat as the oiginals. I couf be totaly wrong, it just looks exactly like the one my ate had, but his was not aged

well, the straps do look a bit thick in the picture, right. I do not think the pebbling is too big. Do you have a picture of the pakistani pouches? that would make it easier? How is the questionable pair priced?

I dont have pics personaly, but will try to find a similar set, they are fairly common on ebay, go for between 45-60 dollars.

The maker stamp itself is a joke....
by the way, there were no second type pouches in 1940. Real pouches produced in 1940 had the D-ring at the corner.
