need some info on this bottle

No it does not have a hook on the strap .So you are telling me that i can use a cover for a regular bottle called m31?

Army medic's canteens have the extra hook on back side to attach it to the waist belt. DRK canteens don't have it because Red Cross ladies didn't wear belt. So I guess yours is of DRK, but if so, it should have some longer marking on the reverse side of shoulder strap (probably some city name and some more).

I didn't notice the absence of rear hook at the first glance, that's why i posted the military medical canteen in my first post.
The DRK is out of my interest.
Some moutain troops specialists say that the real Gebirgsjäger canteen is the same than the medical one, minus the rear hook...

It's very true, but GJ's have regular carabine instead of the hook and long shoulder strap.
