thanks steve,i realy thank you for everything, and no matter what i will hang on to them..luckly there was nothing at the aution i forgot my camera..there was one badge i posted it already but the pin is missing..how much with out the pin?thanks i will let you look at it as i posted another from a site its not that one but one like it..
Nothing at the auction.... You saved some money today ! !

Without the pin it is not as desirable, so as little dough as possible !
(It may be 'fixed' by a jeweler perhaps.) The fact that it is broken
should allow you to pick it up reasonably - $5. or $10.

    Regards, Steve.

    Hi Pam !

Is that 'Austria', in Europe, or 'Australia' the Island in the
South Pacific ? ? I believe you had several spellings....

'Austrian' helmets are similar to, but not as popular
as the German WWI lids. (M16 and M18)

'Austrailian' helmets are the same style
as British pattern lids of WWI.

Prices can be all over the place.
    I recall you saying $250 - $350 asking price ?

Without a liner is usually how you see them, but if it has been
painted post WWI, ie: to halt rust, this affects the value
    greatly too !
Better examples with original paint are out there for a bit more.
If it were me, I'd save my money unless he's willing to part
with it for a lot less..............

Or if I couldn't live without it !

    Regards, Steve.

I also just found this Luftwaffe communication badge lurking on eBay, I have no idea if its the real deal though. The photo is a bit blurry and has obviously had the swastika removed as per ebay rules.
