    Hello,
The field phone is fine, but IMO the crank is not.
Never seen one like this before, i could be wrong of course
    Thanks

I'd noticed the different crank too. Please see my 1938 fieldphone.

    Hello,
The one posted by saturno is the corret design for a german field phone crank.
I do own three phones and all cranks have the same shape
    Thanks

Indeed, the crank is replaced. In US dollars the phones sell for about $65 to $125 based on condition. You can check functionality by connecting a 1.5 volt battery to the battery terminals. In the US Radio Shack sells little battery packs for about $3. If the Sprechtaste (handset switch) works and you can hear yourself you probably have a good phone. The base units with generators rarely fail even after all these years. You can crank handles at Bunker or KP Emig.
