    Default Original luger holster?

    Hello,

I have an original P08 luger that came with this holster. The previous owner claimed this is the original.

    It has "EGLUNERG Mbh"
Then "Lautzen 1941" followed by a waffenampt. It also has the P08 stamp to the right of the straps.

The threading on top of the holster is a yellow/brown color, in comparison to the rest of the white threading.

I am just hoping someone could confirm as to whether this is original or reproduction.

This holster looks like it is brand new. Either it was unissued or handled very sparingly, or else it is a reproduction. I cannot see any indication that it ever had a pistol in it or has ever been on a belt. I would lean toward it being a reproduction-although a very Nice one.

    Anyone else?

I'd like to sell it or use it...but not if I don't know for sure if its original.

It does look a bit too new to be original, and one would expect
to see a little deeper stamping........

Well spotted zwerge, I am not a fan of copies but those holsters look good, and with a bit of wear will look even better.
I am pretty sure that the stitching would glow under a black light as most of this heavy duty thread is coated and has added nylon or the like, to add strength.

Actually, all you have to do is smell it,if it smells like new leather then it wasn`t made in 1941!
