Original ww2 german boots?

Article about: I know my boots are likely to be officer's parade or perhaps riding boots, but do they conform to the 'rules' as described above?

    Thanks for the excellent No5 post. Could you elaborate a little on the heel fault and the wrong angle issue, if you can, I know its not always easy to do, I don't see the point your making. Best Wishes

    On the first photo, you can see how it is....on the second photo you can see how it should be...
    The heel should have an angle when seen from the profile

    For you and other members interested in the Marschstiefel, i took a few photos to exactly show what i'm talking about. It could be useful to some of you gentlemen....

    It's one of my pairs of high shafted Marschstiefel...
    You can see the shark nose and the reinforcing leather band located on the inside...

    Three part sole on the left...and lack of reinforcing leather band on the outside. The shaft is made of one piece of leather that is closed at the rear...

    and finally last but not least, the shape of the heel...

    This pair of Marschstiefel was taken from a german soldier during the liberation of a town in southern France...
    Except the mountain boots, all german ankle boots do also have the same heel...
