    As I understand it, this holster is not a police one, but the brown color of some sections is noticeable. Is it repainted black or has the paint worn off over time?

    Made by a company in Cologne, A. Waldhausen. Inh. M. Bruchmann, Sattelwaren u. Koffer. Army holsters came in many colors like honey brown, dark brown and black.

    Thanks. That is, my holster has a normal, native color?

    It is hard to tell with the flash, but yours might have been originally chocolate brown, later dyed black, which was often done.

    You should be able to tell by comparing the thread color of inside and outside. As you see in my holster photo, originally black holsters have white thread.
