Interesting that they would put on SS stamp on it. I know nothing about stamps, but I wonder why?

Very cool find. I also would have thought that an item like this may have had something like a simple # stamped in the steel
but nothing like what you've got there.

Ive got a feeling its a fake stamp put on an original item to boost the price, it makes no sense, the stamp is more or less the size of the type you find on documents, i cant see someone sitting there rolling a flat stamp onto a rolled surface all day long, plus i would have thought these items would be a generic issue, and not issued to units or divisions with different stamps on them, just my opinion
