Question about some Binoculars

I purchased these when i was down in the states at an antique store and have become very curious about them. Are they military issue or just civilian?

I would say they are civilian but they are of the period.

I agree with this also. Even if only for use.
Check the strap for any marking.

ok so i took your advice and started to search the straps for any writing and what do i find Property of the U.S P.O Dept.

Possibly manufactured for export during the time as the strap has the correct construction methods.

these have been sitting in my drawer for about 2 years and now i am actually quite interested to find out more about them, any guesses as to the value of them?
