Question about WW2 P 38 Holsters
I was looking at some items today that included a couple of German Holsters, A Black one in nice condition with the German Military mark, also had "P 38" stamped into the back of the holster, is this proper?
I did not take my camera as I did not thing I would be seeing this sort of thing, there was also 2 Japanese Swords with the brown leather covered scabbards...wish I had had my camera with me now as if I can make a deal on this stuff, plus some interesting Swords and bayonets..I will be doing so somewhat in the dark.
Thanks in Advance

We do need pictures.. But it is not uncommon to have one stamped that way from the information you have given us.

Quite often, P-38 holsters are found stamped "P-38" on them. Nothing unusual.

THANK YOU GUYS!!! I was sure it was right as I do know a bit about older Holsters, and I have had a few WW1 and WW2 German holsters in the past that were all good, I just could not remember the P 38 stamp.
There was some other interesting items including an SA Dagger that is good, but someone removed the Eagle!!
If I make a deal on the holsters and swords I will post some photos.
Thanks again!!!

Trust me, you will and as collect neither German or Japanese items, they may be listed on the forum...but then again, for a month I have been saying I will list some German Badges I have, just never seem to get around to it.. just out buying more items for my collection and to trade or sell to make up some of the money, I think we are all the same way
Take Care
