Picked up a nicely marked RAD / Political Tornister today. If anyone has insight to the unit or name of soldier let me know. Hope you like.

RAD Gau XXV was Hessen Sud I think.
Had good advice? Saved money? Why not become a Gold Club Member, just hit the green "Join WRF Club" tab at the top of the page and help support the forum!
This example blows my two out of the water... Nice job Kirk !!

Excellent example...and with a name
Nice.
I see two different dates September 1936 and August 1937.
Bekleidungsamt Fürth I think (due to the F?), first known
as RAD-Bekleidungskammer, renamed July 1935.
This Bekleidungsamt was in 1940 renamed into (an army)
Heeres-Bekleidungsamt.
XXV indeed is Hessen-Süd as such named in February 1934
(before that date the area was known as "Mittelrhein").

Very nice indeed. The interior leather is super. And it has the ink name markings you see often on these Tornisters. But as a German woman once said regarding "pony" fur packs - ponies are for riding. It is cow hide. : ) NH
