Sand-painted Gasmask Can, Fake?

UPDATE:

The can arrived today, I just took some quick telephone photos, there are plenty of pics on my first post of this thread...
It has a " frn42 " marking - looks quite nice, hardly any rust in fact, just a little surface rust on the bottom, alu insert is present. I already had 2 pairs of spare lenses (althou' 1944 dated) and an original spring. I've installed both - next month I try to get original straps ( Tom's ready to hook me up I've heard ) and eventually a mask and a cloth.

are there markings on the lid of the Klarscheiben container ?

And indeed.. dont touch the paint..... it looks like all the original cans have more or less rust.....

just give me a pm when you need the straps.... I have very few sets left

Thanks, yes on the lense lid - there is actually, a bit faint 'thou: epb 43 - can you confirm that I'm not blind?
