signal patrone
I have this old german brass "signalparone" from WWI , I think.
Maker is D.W.u.M. K (Deutsche Waffen und Munitionfabrik Karlsruhe).
But there are two unknown signes left and right. Do you know what they are?
And, are there any possibilites that it ussed in WWII?

Re: signal patrone
Hey.
I don`t know what the markings mean but I guess you could have found this in use in ww2 as well as in ww1. I once had some 98k Mauser ammo from 1922 that was used in late ww2. "Old" ammo was used in ww2 as well as the later ammo. It is also possible that the gun was used in ww2 and then also the ammo.
There were two versions of the standard army (Heer) model flare pistol in ww2. Several other flare guns saw limited use, such as the LeuP42.
Short barrel version: Mit kurzem Lauf. This version of the 2.7cm flare pistol was first used in 1928.
Long barrel version: Mit Langem Luf. This version was first adopted in 1935.
The flare guns had an extremely wide variety of 2.7cm rounds.
