Seems real but that doesn't mean anything. Go look at pics of SS plates on the net, that will probably tell you almost all you need to know. Plenty of vehicle pics out there.
Thanks. There's so many variations for plates, I feel like I'm treading in pretty dangerous territory.
Are you examining in hand, or just a pic?
I don't like it. The areas around the bolt holes show no circular wear on the finish from the bolt heads. I would have expected to see a halo of wear and rust around each hole.

Just a picture unfortunately
Hhaha, it's funny... I just did a Google search and of course you get nothing but pictures of Chevy SS license plates ;-)
Try again under Waffen SS, quite a few pics, not that some of them aren't stinkers if they're not period pics on a vehicle.
FWIW, I'm on eBay all the time, that hallowed potpourri of the worst fake (and relic) junk out there, all conveniently in one place at your fingertips, and I don't see these on there. I don't remember seeing one on there that I can remember.
But then again, do you know why they call it "short term memory"?
Because it's not supposed to last that long! ;-)

Here is a photo with an SS Totenkopf Car with License plate from an SS Album I have on my Website.

Thanks everyone. And I did recently see that one on Jim's site. He's not too far from me, and he's trustworthy, so maybe I'll just buy that one.
