Just looked up the code on the above sticky...thanks that is one very useful and generous thread of info !
Rln code for Zeiss after 1944...........so they are German. late war but for what ?

RLN is Carl Zeiss of Jena's code they used after November 1944, so this is a fairly late war scope. It was, I believe, used in armored vehicles.

Zeiss actually makes optics still today. You can buy personal Binoculars for hunting or bird watching, they are considered to be on the top end of Hunting optics as far as price and quality.

Yes as already said these are Carl zeiss,late '44 early '45 they were used on armoured vehicles and for trench observation as well,quite a scarce piece of kit as well,especially with the metal spike,they were used screwed into a log/ piece pf wood etc to hold them when used in the field or in trench works,something that is missing from most of them,well done
