It is standard pattern rucksack - tropical or late war type as it is sometimes called.
I would personally go with the small artillery backpack for display as this one is large and bulky when packed.

They were meant to replace the tornister m34/m39 so they were common.

Combat rucksack it tough to display as it gets big :-)
Wow very nice! I would like to make a display like the second photo you posted. Now to find a tropical artillery backpack.
Never seen artillery one with canvas straps but I seen engineer's pack with canvas straps.
