Well after seeing the topic of Scho-Ka-Kola tins come up afew weeks ago, and being a happy Scho-Ka-Kola eater I decided I must get a couple of these and I did!

I managed to get two 1941 dated tins, one in great condition and one in good/ok condition. Will most likely sell the good/ok tin now that I have them both. Also got a small metal Peppermint tin on the way, but didnt arrive in time for these pics.

Now I am on the lookout for the other variations on this design and of course other dates!

    Regards
    Jason

This may be a silly question but does anyone know if these are being faked?

Yes but for reenactors by adding paper labels to modern tins.

Dan, That's a nice Spoon/fork combo and lard container!

And nice Scho Ka Kola tins! The chocolate is some of my favorite. Made the mistake of eating 3 tins in a day one time! NEVER AGAIN! Haha.

On my what seems to be never ending field gear quest, I have to say - very nice tins.
I personally want some nice cigarette tins.

There are two kinds of repros. I made one with paper labels a few years back. There are painted metal repros that look pretty good but a dead giveaway for the period tin are the really sharp edges on the top and bottom. I have one too but have not posted photos yet. NH
