I have recently bought this handgranate, it is my first one, I have found a link describing it, all addtional info is welcome

The Übungs-Stielhandgranate 24/ Handgranate 1939
This is a german handgranate for training
It still has some of the red paint on the metal top, and has a number 4 cut into the handel
Is the stamp beside the year 1939 markers mark ?
Is this a model 24 ?
There is a stamp Üb (Übungs- which indicates that it is a training handgranate)

Nice and original. They would fit the friction igniter to these so that the "crack" of them detonating would give a rough idea of the effect of the grenade, of course the holes helping to make even this feel loud but also with the red charge head to prove it was a training device. Nice find.
